The year of Briana!

2014 Revisited:

This year shall be forever known as the year of Briana. Briana has been bar tending at the VFW.  She has been working hard in nursing school and enjoys helping the Vets out. I think they remind her of her grandparents, and the tips give her a little spending cash. She has made some good friends and one of those friends introduced her to a guy she thought might be a good match for Briana. She has been laser focused on school and hasn’t dated much since coming to live in our retirement community.

Travis Rivera changed all that. Travis is a hardworking, laid back guy with the temperament needed to complement my strong willed youngest daughter. In the blink of an eye, Bri was smitten. She quickly moved in with him, promising us that finishing school would still be her first priority. Travis proposed, Bri said yes and the wedding plans began. 

Not one, not two, but plans for 3 different celebrations were scheduled. The destination wedding in Las Vegas would take place at the Stratosphere on my parents Anniversary (June 28^th). The attendees came from as far away as Switzerland (Claudia) and included family and friends including her VFW friend Wally who lost his fight with cancer this year. The pig roast at the cottage in WNY would be in July, followed by the Florida party at the VFW. OMG, what fun!
