2017: The Bad News
The not so good news: Dear World: That ignorant, dangerous, bigoted,
self-absorbed, monster does not speak for us. We are sorry, and are working on
getting rid of him.
I am, by nature, one of those annoying people who sees a
bright side to just about every situation.
The upside to today’s political current climate is that it will come to
an end. My hope is that it will be sooner rather than later, but I hope we have
learned a lesson about complacency, and vow NEVER AGAIN!
Lucas has put a new spin on the importance of world peace
and domestic tranquility. Never while Barack was in office did I go to bed
fearing a nuclear war. This baboon is beating his chest and taunting our enemies, in our name. A baby boy makes that prospect even more unacceptable.
He will not go to war to satisfy the greed, egos, or isolationist delusions of
the madmen in power! 
As for domestic tranquility: BS, it’s time to stand up,
speak up and not let the rest of the world think that we, the majority of
Americans, share this administration’s radical views. I implore you all to sign
a petition, join a demonstration, write a letter, take to the streets, call
your representatives, join a likeminded group, contribute to a political
campaign that shares your values, run for office. But most of all VOTE! The statistics
disgust me. The tiny portion of the eligible population that brought this reign
of extremists to power is disheartening and embarrassing. 
Non-participation in the system is not a statement, it is
surrender. Politics does affect you and your family’s future! Economically, ecologically,
and morally! 
Economically: They are working tirelessly to roll back all of the progress we have made over the past 30 years. We are living in a country of abundance where people die or go broke for lack of health care. From gas prices and jobs, tax breaks for the
rich on the backs of the dwindling middle class, to the constant attack on
Unions. News flash: You are never going to be rich! Trickle down will never get
to you! These greedy rich bastards do not care about you! You are gum on the bottom
of their shoes.
Ecologically: This
planet is the only on we have. No plan B. If we screw it up and don’t lead the
rest of the world off this collision course, we are doomed. These boneheads are
selling our planet for short term gains. They are giving away our parks and
sacred lands, removing hard fought protections, and leaving a mess for future generations
that may never be repaired.
Morally: These bankrupt, misogynist leaders would lead us
all back to the place where women had no control of their bodies, finances, careers,
and lives, gays have no rights, bigotry and fear are encouraged. They evoke religious phrases while letting people, here and around
the world starve and die. They are hypocrites and racists shamelessly
emboldened by the corrupt leadership. Let them know we will never go back! He has colluded with our enemies, committed tax evasion, treason, lied, harassed and made a mockery of our values. He is don the con and trying to divert attention away from his crimes. Move to impeach immediately!
